Inaugurated in 1996, the Françoys-Bernier Concert Hall, with its exceptionally fine acoustics, has established Domaine Forget as an international-calibre concert presenter and a catalyst for the music world. With a seating capacity of up to 604 people according to the stage arrangement, the Hall’s great versatility allows the presentation of such diverse events as classical music performances, children’s shows, popular recording artists in concert, plays, musicals, operas, and more.
Although the Pavilion’s design is modern, its forms and lines harmonize with the older buildings at Domaine Forget. During construction in 2007, materials were chosen that evoke those in use at the beginning of the last century. The 1500-square-metre Pavilion includes a 225-seat dining-room, the kitchen, a rehearsal/dance room in the basement, and four sound-proof classrooms on the second floor. There is also a magnificent 225-seat terrace with a breathtaking vista of the St. Lawrence.
