Lied et Mélodie NEW!

This course of study entails a detailed approach to the repertoire by working on the relationship between a singer and the pianist. During the session, each duo will prepare at least one complete cycle in either language (English or German).

PEDAGOGIC SUPERVISOR:

Ruben Lifschitz, pianist

PREREQUISTE:

Singers and pianists, preferably existing duos;
Basic technique, expression capability, professional level;
Upon applying, cadidates must include a list of the repertoire that they have already studied and a list of the repertoire that they would like to study during session with their application.

SCHOLARSHIP:

At the end of the session, one of the duos will be awarded a scholarship for the Lied et Mélodie session at La Fondation Royaumont in France which will be held from October 4th to 8th, 2008. This session is supported by both the Ministère des Relations internationales du Québec and the Consulat général de France in Québec City.

Candidates for either of the above sessions must submit, with their application a clearly identified 15 minutes recording (CD or mp3 file) of two contrasting works with accompaniment. We will communicate the results of the audition and the repertoire that is to be studied during the session as soon as possible.
