PROGRAM

The Collaborative Piano Program offers an enriching and inspiring environment for developing the knowledge, instincts, and skills, of the chamber pianist and accompanist. Led by Canadian pianists Philip Chiu and Chiharu Iinuma, this two week program invites participants to explore the world of chamber music and accompaniment.

The guiding principles of the program are based on the belief that communication and adaptability are the key ingredients for fulfilling collaborative musicmaking. While we recognize that piano mechanics are an important part of the overall process, we aim instead to establish, build upon, and refine fundamentals of collaborative musicmaking.
