HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP

THIS YEAR, DOMAINE FORGET, WITH THE CONTRIBUTION OF MULTIPLE PRIVATES FOUNDATIONS AND GENEROUS SPONSORS, WILL OFFER OVER $100 000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ITS SUMMER SESSIONS.

SCHOLARSHIP LIST

CAMPBELL & GARVIN BROWN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was created by Mrs Janet Casey in 2011, to encourage a gifted student to participate in the Domaine Academy by covering half of his Tuition fees.This was an initiative of Mrs. Casey’s Nephews, Mr. Casey and  Garvin Brown, to commemorate the death of their father, who died in 2010. The scholarship will be distributed every year, for a period of ten years.

DESJARDINS SCHOLARSHIPS
These two scholarships were an initiative of the Caisses Populaires Desjardins to encourage Québec’s gifted young musicians.

DANCE SESSION (DANCE)
Two excellence awards will be offered by Le Domaine Forget at the end of the 2012 session for the 2013

THE ALAIN-MARION AWARD (FLUTE)
This award was established in 1999 in memory of an exceptional musician, pillar of the Domaine Forget and close collaborator for 20 years. This excellence award will be offered to a flutist at the end of the 2011 session for the 2012 flute session.

THE EUGENE-RITTICH AWARD (HORN)
In memory of our close collaborator, this excellence award will be offered to a horn player at the end of the 2011 session for the 2012 horn session.

ROYAUMONT / DOMAINE FORGET SCHOLARSHIP (NEW MUSIC)
As part of the long term partnership agreement between le Domaine Forget, Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, la Fondation Royaumont and with the support of the Ministry of International Relations Québec and the General Consulate of France, a scholarship of excellence will be awarded to a composer at the end of the Rencontres de Musique Nouvelle. This scholarship will allow the recipient to attend a session at Fondation Royaumont’s Voix Nouvelles in France.

THE JAMES-WATSON AWARD (TRUMPET)
 In memory of a great trumpeter, who was for a long time a source of inspiration for all professors and students at Domaine Forget, this excellence award will be offered to a trumpet player at the end of the 2011 session for the 2012 trumpet session.

THE VINCENT-CICHOWICZ AWARD (TRUMPET)
In memory of the founder of the Trumpet session, this excellence award will be offered to a trumpet player at the end of the 2011 session for the 2012 trumpet session.

THE HÉLÈNE-FORTIN WARD (VOICE)
In memory of an outstanding singer and pedagogue, closely associated with le Domaine Forget for many years, this excellence award will be offered to a voice student at the end of the 2011 session for the 2012 voice session.

EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Le Domaine Forget offers Excellence Awards to students who have excelled during their session at the Academy. These grants are valid for the same session the following year.

The Upcomming Artists Scholarships are awarded by Domaine Forget through partnerships with different organisations and renown educational institutions, for their music contests and festivals.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP

To complete a scholarship application, you need to check the proper box in your online registration form and send all the required documents before February 15, 2012 (April 1st for Choral singing, May 1st for Jazz, Soundtrack Composition and Jazz Singing).

There are no possible scholarship applications for this session. Excellence scholarships will be awarded at the end of the session.
