This intensive ten-day program, presented in collaboration with Les Violons du Roy, is intended for very advanced or professional level instrumentalists (minimum age of 16) who wish to develop greater expertise in mastering the different aesthetics and particularities of playing in chamber orchestra, covering a repertoire ranging from the classical period to the post-romantic period.

The first part of the competition will take place in March 2021 in a virtual formula (more details to come). To participate in the competition, candidates must prepare a complete concerto of their choice from the baroque period or one movement of a concerto from the classical period with piano accompaniment.
The finalists of the competition will receive a full scholarship to participate in the 2021 Chamber Orchestra session and the first prize will also get the opportunity to perform solo accompanied by the Académie Orchestra and the Violons du Roy during the concert on Friday August 20, 2021.
The first prize winner of the 2020's competition is not eligible to participate again in the 2021 concerto competition.

Complete all steps of the online application form, pay the $80 registration fee and provide the following material by April 1, 2021.
In the scholarship awarding process, the evaluation committee will consider the quality of the audition material, the excellent nature of the candidate’s file as well as the student’s cover letter.
All the documents must be uploaded at the last step of the application form (step 5).
*Video link (one link per piece); public or unlisted YouTube, Vimeo or DropBox links or any other link directly accessible without a password and clearly labeled.
**Piano accompaniment: if for various reasons, most notably Covid-19 restrictions, you’re unable to submit an audition recording with piano accompaniment, exceptionally this year, we will accept a recording without accompaniment.
Repertoire
The repertoire and assignments will be sent to you approximately two months before the start of the session.
Academy concerts or "Domaine on the Road" series
All participants will have the opportunity to perform in Academy concerts or in the "Domaine on the Road" series as long their teachers deem them ready.
Instrument
Each participant must fully insure his/her instrument for the entire length of his/her session. Unfortunately, Domaine Forget does not rent or loan musical instruments.
COVID-19
Arrival: Tuesday, August 10, 2021 after 2 P.M. (classes begin on Wednesday)
Departure: Sunday, August 22, 2021 after breakfast

First instalment
To confirm and reserve your place, a first deposit, non-refundable fee covering half of the full amount for your internship is required within seven (7) days, following your acceptance letter and invoice.
Second instalment
The second payment is due no later than June 1, 2021.
Le Domaine Forget de Charlevoix reserves the right to cancel any program if circumstances demand it. All fees already paid will then be reimbursed. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Le Domaine Forget de Charlevoix will retain 50% of the second payment in case of cancellation of your registration.
No refund will be made after June 2, 2021.
COVID-19 – Session cancellation policy
If government directives prevent the session from being held, this session will be canceled. The student will be automatically reimbursed.
Domaine Forget uses Paypal for secure payments. Email confirmation (in addition to the automated PayPal notification email) will be sent as soon as possible, once payment has been confirmed. Payment confirmation may take a few days. Remember: You must enter the amount you wish to pay and the full name of the registering student.
