The Voice Program offers a custom-made program for advanced voice students, aged 18 years and over and young professionals.
The session covers exhaustive study of the French repertoire and style. While working on an entire role or varied repertoire, the student is called upon to understand the differences and to master the different aspects of the French style. The repertoire could come from XVII to XX century melody, oratorio, opera or opéra-comique. The session ends with a concert to demonstrate the acquired knowledge and skills.
The French Opera content is intended for graduated or professional singers who want to work-in-depth on a role of a French opera. The pedagogic approach is through voice lessons, masterclasses and vocal coachings.
This program is open to a limited number of students. Selected candidates will receive a scholarship worth of Can$1,000. They will be chosen on the strength of their application.
Candidates who aren’t selected for this segment will automatically be considered for the repertoire program.
Candidates who wish to apply to this program must submit, in addition to the basic audition materiel, an additional recording of the role they wish to work on, a bio and résumé (CV). (See the request for admission heading)
