The Voice session offers a custom-made program for advanced voice students, aged 18 years and over and young professionals, with emphasis on French repertoire (Melody and Opera). Should they wish to do so, candidates can also work on any other repertoire of their choice. The program is also offered to existing singer-pianist duos.

Enhanced content - Young professionals – Role-playing

The enhanced content is intended for professional singers who want to work-in-depth on a role in a French opera. The pedagogic approach is through lessons and individual coaching.

This option is open to a limited number of students and selected candidates will receive a scholarship worth approximately Can$1,000.  They will be chosen on the strength of their application.


  • Free access to all the Academy classes and activities for the entire session: masterclasses, workshops and conferences  
  • Free access to le Domaine Forget International Festival concerts during the session (Restrictions may apply for certain concerts) 
  • Student evening activities (bonfire, sports activities, tourist outings, movies, yoga etc.)
  • Individual practice huts and spaces situated on the enchanting site in the middle of nature.
  • Three meals a day in the Joseph-Rouleau pavilion, which has a large terrace and marvelous view overlooking the St. Lawrence River. 
  • Double or quadruple occupancy lodging


Complete all steps of the onnline application form, pay the registration fee and provide the following material by February 15, 2019.

  • 2 works of your choice, Voice and Piano, clearly identified, including one French Melody or Opera; total length about 8 to 10 minutes and of contrasting types (style, period and composer),
  • Letter of motivation explaining your artistic approach and your interest in participating in the sessions at Domaine Forget

Preparing your session


The student must submit the repertoire (titles and composer) that he or she would like to work on or improve during the session. This repertoire must be uploaded to Your Profile by Monday May 6, 2019 at the latest. 


Arrival: Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 after 2 P.M. (Classes begin on Monday)
Departure: Saturday, June 15th, 2019 after breakfast

two week session

Canadian student: $1,915 CDN
International student: $2,050 CDN

One week session

Canadian student: $1,000 CDN
International student: $1,070 CDN


One masterclass: $50 CDN

One day: $80 CDN

One week: $375 CDN


First instalment 

To confirm and reserve your place, a first deposit, non-refundable fee covering half of the full amount for your internship is required within seven (7) days, following your acceptance letter and invoice.

Second instalment

The second payment is due no later than May 1, 2019.


A $50 fee will be charged for any change, on dates, or duration of yourstay. Failure to comply with these terms, will result for the accepted student the lost of his/her reserved place. Le Domaine Forget reserves the right to cancel any program if circumstances demands it.


Le Domaine Forget will retain 50% of the second payment in case of cancellation of your registration. No refund will be made after May 2, 2019.


Domaine Forget uses Paypal for secure payments. Email confirmation (in addition to the automated PayPal notification email) will be sent as soon as possible, once payment has been confirmed. Payment confirmation may take a few days. Remember: You must enter the amount you wish to pay and the full name of the registering student.
