Here are a few Q and A to help you:
Is this an event for the entire family?
Everyone is invited to this special day. In addition to the free admission concert at 3PM, there are sculpture activities for all as well as animation and music on the site as of noon.
How many people are expected?
We are planning to welcome between 2,500 and 5,000 people, since parking is limited do try to car pool or even better come by train, le Train de Charlevoix!
How much does the day cost?
The activities are all free because Domaine Forget wants a grandiose ending to its 40th anniversary celebrations!
Please note, however, that paying services will be available on site: food, bar and souvenir boutique.
Where on the site will the activities take place?
All the activities will be held on the mid-level central plateau and Stable plateau, in the centre of Domaine Forget de Charlevoix.
Is the site accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Since the activities will be held outdoors, getting around in a wheelchair will be challenging. Nevertheless, there will be a few special parking spaces for people with limited mobility as well as shuttles from the different parking areas to the central plateau.
How will security be handled?
In addition to the presence of Domaine Forget volunteers and staff, security will be handled by Securité Sirois.
At what time should we arrive at Domaine Forget?
Since parking is limited, we suggest that you arrive early. The activities should begin around 11AM, but due to the number of people that are expected, parking spaces will go fast.
What time does the concert begin and what time will it end?
The concert begins at 3PM and should be over by 5PM, this is the day’s final event.
How do we get to Domaine Forget? Is there public transportation from Baie-St- Paul, St-Joseph de la Rive or La Malbaie?
Take highway 362 from either La Malbaie or Baie-St- Paul. Ideally, you could take the train, we invite you to visit traindecharlevoix.com for full details. There are departures from Québec, St- Anne- de- Beaupré, Baie-St- Paul and La Malbaie.
Where can I park? Where should I park if there aren’t any parking spaces left at Domaine Forget?
There are about 1,000 spaces at Domaine Forget, extra parking at the St-Irénée church will be available as will a shuttle service from the church to Domaine Forget.
Can I bring a picnic? Will there be food services available?
You can bring a picnic, there will also be 3 food trucks on the site (Chien-Sossis, ChuMross and La Table a resto-boutique)
Will there be non-alcoholic beverages for sale?
There will 2 bars with only non-alcoholic beverages for sale.
May I bring alcohol beverages to the event?
If you wish to drink alcohol, you must bring your own. No alcohol will be sold at the event. All beverages whether non-alcoholic or alcoholic must be in plastic or metal containers, no glass containers will be permitted.
Can I bring my chairs?
Yes, we recommend that you do bring your chairs. There will be a section reserved for people with chairs. There will also be a no-chair section.
What if it rains?
The activities will be held rain or shine. For security reasons, the concert will be cancelled in case of thunderstorms.
Can we bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast?
Yes, umbrellas will be permitted, but out of respect for the other concert goers we highly recommend rain gear or plastic ponchos.
Are pets allowed?
Only guide dogs will be allowed due to the number of people that are expected to be present on the site and at the concert.
Where can I park?
As of the mid-morning, temporary parking spaces will be available so that as many people as possible can access the property. Please note that vehicles will not be able to use the entrance facing the wharf (Jetée des Capelans) on the 19th.
From Baie-Saint-Paul, we invite you to follow the signs on the 362 so you can drive up Rang Saint-Antoine. Once you arrive at the upper entrance to the Studios, security staff will guide to the parking area from which you can take a shuttle to the site where the activities will be held.
From La Malbaie, the concert hall and Joseph-Rouleau pavilion parking lots will be reserved for our Sunday brunch clientele. You can drop off your passengers but you must exit and drive up to the next entrance on Rang Saint-Antoine to park your car. Security staff will guide you. There will be a shuttle service to the site where the activities will be held.
I have a Sunday brunch reservation, what do I do?
Stop at the concert hall entrance, security staff will guide you to the Joseph-Rouleau Pavilion or the concert hall parking areas, these spaces are reserved until 1 P.M..
