This past Sunday, October 22, the results of Domaine Forget’s 32nd annual benefit luncheon, chaired by Louis Vachon President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Canada, reached an all-time record high for the third straight year. Indeed, $217,000 was raised, this event provides a major source of income for the institution’s activities. Close to 400 guests attended the luncheon which was held at the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu in La Malbaie.
The silent auction, with over 70 different objects available for bidding, held during the annual benefit luncheon contributed to the success of the event. Mr Louis Belzile was the lucky winner of the drawing of a cultural package to Philadelphia next May 17th and 18th, the prize includes return flight for two, a two night stay the Ritz Carlton, a $150 gift certificate to the Chris Jazz Café, a $75 gift certificate for breakfast the Bistro Parc, a visit to both the Barnes Foundation and Philadelphia Museum of Art, a $150 gift certificate for restaurant Volver in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, two tickets the concert version of Tosca by the Philadelphia Orchestra and private after concert get together with maestro Yannick Nézet Séguin. The annual benefit luncheon is Domaine Forget’s major fundraiser; the revenues are essential for its activities, its continued pursuit of excellence as well as its long-term financial stability.

Revenues from the silent auction are invested in Domaine Forget’s annual operations. Approximately 70 items including vacation packages, works of art, decorative objects, trips and gift baskets are donated by various businesses from Charlevoix and the Québec national capital region. All the articles are for sale during the annual benefit luncheon.
