CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

PROGRAM WITH LES VIOLONS DU ROY

This “side-by-side” intensive two-week program, presented in collaboration with Les Violons du Roy under the direction of Nicolas Ellis, Jean-Marie Zeitouni and Mathieu Lussier is intended for very advanced or professional level instrumentalists (minimum age of 18) who wish to develop a greater expertise in mastering the different aesthetics and particularities of playing in a chamber orchestra, covering a repertoire ranging from the Baroque period to the Romantic period.

At the end of the program, during the concerts on August 22 and 24, 2024, the participants will join their talents to the voice program to present the final scenes of two major works of the lyrical repertoire: Offenbach’s La vie parisienne and Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. Also, in the intimate setting of St-Irénée’s church, a chamber music concert will be held by participants from both programs featuring French melodies for voice, strings, and piano.
