This 2-week program is offered to intermediated and advanced level guitar students.
This segment is designed for very advanced students or professionals whose file stands out due to its quality and its exceptional nature.
The enriched program offers the opportunity to perform in additional concerts and to have exclusive workshops with guest faculty. A limited number of students will be accepted (maximum 3 per program) to the enriched program and will automatically receive a scholarship worth approximately Can$1000 (two-week session).
If you wish to apply to the enhanced content you must also submit an additional recording of an imposed work, a biography or résumé. (See the request for admission heading).
This facet of the program is specially designed for serious intermediate level guitarists (14 years old minimum). The student must demonstrate a marked interest for guitar and be autonomous in his or her individual practice. A minimum of three years training in classical guitar is required.
In addition to the activities of the regular program, guitarists enrolled in this facet will receive group technique classes and will perform in the guitar ensemble. Masterclass attendance is mandatory and depending on their interest and level, some of them could be asked to play in masterclasses. For pedagogical reasons, participation in masterclasses is reserved to advanced level students.

Masterclasses
All the students can attend daily masterclasses. Generally, one or two masterclasses per week as long as the professors judge that their level of practice and preparation is sufficient. It is each student’s responsibility to prepare their chosen repertoire adequately.
N.B.: It is strictly forbidden to record or take photos during masterclasses without the guest musician’s prior approval, should this be the case, these recordings or photos must be kept solely for your private use.
Individual lessons
Participants in the regular program typically receive one to two individual lessons per week with the faculty professor of their choice.
We will try to favour a student’s first choice of professor but depending on circumstances and available spots in the classes, a student could be assigned his second or third choice of professor.
Chamber Music
There are daily rehearsals with the chamber music group. Students usually receive two or three weekly coachings, a total of about 90 to 150 minutes per week.
Chamber music is an essential aspect of the program that offers many opportunities of performing in the various Academy concerts. Ensembles are assigned before the beginning of a session based on level, age and preference.
Academy concerts or "Domaine on the Road" series
All chamber music groups will have the opportunity to perform in Academy concerts or in the "Domaine on the Road" series as long their teachers deem them ready. The faculty and artistic management could select certain students to give a solo performance at one of these concerts.
Instrument
Each participant must fully insure his/her instrument for the entire length of his/her session. Unfortunately, Domaine Forget does not rent or loan musical instruments.
