This 2-week program is offered to intermediated and advanced level guitar students.
This segment is designed for very advanced students or young professionals whose file stands out due to its quality and its exceptional nature and who wish to work in depth on their repertoire in preparation of a recital, contest or audition.
A maximum of 3 students will be accepted to the program and will automatically receive a scholarship worth one thousand Canadian dollars (CAN $1,000) for the 2-week stage.
The steppingstone program includes the following:
If you want to apply for the steppingstone program, please check the corresponding option in Step 3 of the registration form. Candidates not selected for the steppingstone program are automatically considered for the regular program.
This facet of the program is specially designed for serious intermediate level guitarists (14 years old minimum). The student must demonstrate a marked interest for guitar and be autonomous in his or her individual practice. A minimum of three years training in classical guitar is required.
In addition to the activities of the regular program, guitarists enrolled in this facet will receive group technique classes and will perform in the guitar ensemble. Masterclass attendance is mandatory and depending on their interest and level, some of them could be asked to play in masterclasses. For pedagogical reasons, participation in masterclasses is reserved to advanced level students.
If you want more information about the program or the registration progress, our general information sessions are there to guide you. They consist of a short presentation of the Academy and followed by a question period.
These 60-minute virtual sessions will be held on:
